Responsibility of Students Union

We are in 21st century and observing many, theories of the past have been broken day by day. Science and Technology has shown its hysterical miracle. We, from third world countries get amazed as we do in a magic show and it is obvious. In context of our country, where majority of people are illiterate and the cultural superstitions and dogmas are deep rooted, Science and Technology is most. For the development of it symposiums on Science and Technology with the infrastructure has to be developed. Block level to national level plan has to be maintained .Prior to everything illiteracy has to be lowered down with the construction of wide range of study programs encouraging the practical education system.

Even though the concern of Government of Nepal and its budget has not put for Science and Technology in its primary concern and NAST is appealing that to be done, people have known no effective work of consideration. NAST has not been able to execute its potential whereas the scientists and luminous persona of the country are deliberate to come forwards and are compelled to work for NASA than for NAST. The hopes and attempts of the scientific approach have lain down. In this situation, the only thing nonprofessional and the strugglers could do is hope.
Quiet a many years has passed we have seen students union involved in political extravaganza. We have not seen creative and reformative ideas and proposal put forward by the students union. Now, students union must enlarge themselves into the wider concept of mobilizing the brilliant personalities in assisting the science and technology. We often hear the brilliancy of many students or few geniuses in remote areas inventing something new and applicable. They invent some new technology and we read them on paper. Nevertheless, further mobilization of that inventor and their inventions neglected. We see many students developing new theories, getting words of praise and presentation as well, but nothing more. This has not only lost the opportunity of utilizing those technologies in economic scale but also harassed many struggling and intelligent students throughout the country. Under these situations, the hopeful eyes of students are staring at the bright banners and sleeping slogans of students union.
Students Union should conduct seminars and talk on these issues at national level and in college level. It needs to show its appearance in the formation of forums and association in the different faculties of course. Especially in government and public institutions, large numbers of students are raising their voice for the improvement of education system and application of the available technologies and resources. Students are looking forward to get involved in different creative activities .Under these circumstances Students Union most prepare a work plan for the development students potential and development of science and technology for the development of country.
