SPINY BABBLER

As we know that Nepal is known as the country of Mount Everest and Lord Buddha. But it is time to recognize Nepal as the country of Spiny Babbler ( Kande Vyakur). It is now concerned as the glory of Nepal.
Spiny Babbler is only rare endemic species that is found only in Nepal. First of all, it was discovered by Brain Hodgson in 1836 but he never show any living species of this kind bird. From the period of 1836 to 1966j, it was believed that Spiny Babbler was vanished from the face of the Earth. But this assumption altered after its discovery in Rekcha Village of Karnali zone by Ripley. Since then era of Spiny Babbler stated again.
Turdoides nepalensis ( Spiny Babbler) belong to family Timalidae. It is a bulbul sized bird with grayish brown and some white on face and chin. The throat and upper side

And the forehead and crown have stiffy wiry shaft. The beak is pointed upward with the tail is curved down. If measure approximately 26 cm in length with cross-barred tail. It lives in flocks of 5-7 members. This bird is good mimic as it squak chuckles or chips with equal ease at it pleasure. It remains almost silent during winter. It is separated from the Kathmandu valley; especially in scrub jungles, Doti to Taplejung districts and Karnali zone.
In fact we are unable to get several facts based on spiny Babbler. It is our gate; we are looking from eyes of 1960's. We are not obvious about origin and development in the pattern of evolution and why Nepal is the best place for its evolution.
